JULY 19TH 2007
Transcript: Hello! I know I haven't called you since 1802. Actually, I haven't called anyone. I've been really, really busy and when I do get free time, I'm on vocal rest so I can like get back in the studio for 20 billion hours. So everybody's mad at me but whatever (laughs). I did get a couple of days of vacation in Capri which was a stone groove and I was happy 'cause I haven't been there since I was recording the Mimi record like three years ago. So that was nice for me. Anyway, I was just sitting here and I was looking through some fan books and like letters and stuff that I've gotten from you guys over the years and I was like, you know, reminiscing and just realizing how stellar you are and how funny. Some of you guys are stone comedians you do know this, right? (laughs). So funny you are and how happy you make me and I decided that I needed to give you a nice call to check in and tell you that everything is flantastic. Let's see what's going on. I'm not allowed to talk about Tennessee because they want the performance to speak for itself and everything like that but that is obviously something that I'm excited about. What can I talk about? Let's think. I'm very, very, very excited about how the fragrance came out. Remember I was telling you that it was like I had so much fun you know working on it and stuff like that and so it's really, I'm very looking forward to seeing how you guys like it, should be in stores by September and hopefully you like it as much as I do. And yeah, last but not least, the nice songs that I've been working on, I quite enjoy them. I've written my 10th so far and like about...and I guess I'm going to Atlanta next week to work with JD so that should be a stone groove/hit wonder or at least a stone groove, hopefully (laughs). But that's about it. I'm trying to get the record out this year so I'm gonna be holed up in the studio for like the next few months and I will see you when I'm done. Also, the other bleakness is my trainer is living with me and it's bleak because I can't eat anything good and she makes me workout after I've been in the studio for like 80 trillion hours but whatever. We love her, and we love everybody. So I will check in again but please don't take it personally if it's like a little bit sporadic because it's just because I'm working and I'm trying hard to get the nice album out by the end of this year. Very, very, very excited about the video doing so great on TRL, just how, you know, really just how amazing everyone's been doing. I know you've been voting, you've been doing your thing! Anyway, back to the point, the point is I'm calling to say hi because I haven't called in a minute and just wanted to say how much I love and appreciate you as always and just to reiterate how grateful I am for the amazing success so early on with this video for "Say Somethin'" And the more, you know, we keep on it with the video, the more we're gonna hear it upon the nice radio and things of that sort! And we're getting ready to do a tour, as you know, and we're getting ready to put the whole list together. All the excitement of the tour is what is on my plate right now! But now, I took a little vacation. I went to a beautiful island, I came back and I'm sitting here at the table with the contest winner from the "Shake It Off Remix Contest" and I just wanted you guys to know that... and also Rachel ("I miss you guys!") is here. But, as I was looking through, I was getting like a bunch of congratulations messages about the number one on TRL and stuff, and for any of you guys out there, and I know it's most of you who, you know, really really really, try to make things wonderful for me in that regard, I wanted to say thank you! And thank you everybody really, just for everything. This year's been amazing and you know that it's really like, my kind of moment with you. "Our moment", I should say, I keep saying it, I'm trying to think of a new way to say it, but the truth is it is our moment and it's a blessing, and it's incredible. Even I just found out just before the performance, and I'm like, 'Oh I see they thought the slit was what was ripped.' No darling, the whole left side of the upper portion of the dress was ripped so had I moved the wrong way or whatever, it would have been a wrap so I was just like, 'Oh why me? Why are you doing this to me? We don't need that.' So anyway Jessica, we love you, we love your ensembles but we can't have that no more. Anyway, so I just wanted to say because I kinda like I then changed clothes backstage infront of a million people with one little drape covering me so I was still kinda like so excited if you saw when they said that I won the award and I was like, 'I won? Okay, whatever.' And I was just trying to tell the story 'cause I just felt so bad that I couldn't even hear myself the first half of what I was singing 'cause those monitors, we need to hear ourselves so we can sing along. Anyway, so I didn't get the chance to show you the love that I feel I typically do. And that made me upset. So just in case you didn't see me doing all the tabloid shows and everything, thank you, thank you, thank you to the fans, to the lambs, to my extended family as I'd like to refer to you. I'd like to let you know that without you it would be 'bleakosity, say what' and seriously I really mean that and I love you so very much. And, I don't know, I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving. We just got back from Detroit. We had little halftime fun out there and then we ate dinner there with some nice friends and family and things of that sort so we hope that your Thanksgiving was awesome as well and just that you know everything is great with you and basically my main platform is to thank you. Seriously, you guys are so amazing and you keep just really like making me more and more happy and just seriously, you never cease to amaze me. I've been getting like all the really hip books and just like, the letters and everything and the gifts and things that people have been sending me and I just wanted to let you know that none of it goes unappreciated and it's beyond what anybody else could understand.
